FOR YOUR INFORMATION…..We have been asked how the points system works for

colours and veterans...

Points can only be won at a Great Dane club show.

There are 9 clubs plus DANE OF THE YEAR.

Points are awarded for being placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in COLOUR classes only (at open,

limited and championship shows) as follows:-

1st = 3 pts

2nd = 2 pts

3rd = 1 point.

PLEASE NOTE…. POINTS WILL BE DOUBLED AT ALL M&WofEGDC SHOWS

The points accrual run from January to December

The same system is applicable to veterans, winning from veteran classes only.

The Midland and West of England Great Dane club present a memento to the annual

overall winner of each colour and veteran.

This year, we have introduced an extra award for the  exhibit winning the most points.

The memento is only awarded to paid up members of our club.

Please consider entering the colour classes, when entering a breed club show.

Dear Great Dane Exhibitors  Ref: M&WEGDC Summer Open Show Saturday 11th July

As you are no doubt aware the M&WEGDC Committee took the decision to postpone our Summer Open Show last Saturday based on the extreme heatwave we are currently experiencing. The Committee were aware that we would have been 3rd in the ring with a start time of approx. 1 – 2pm and the welfare to our Great Danes was paramount in this assessment.

We have today been in contact with the RKC who have allowed us to re-schedule this show to run back-to-back with our Championship Show being held on Saturday 5th December. As we are in the other hall (now called the Halo Suite) at the Sports Connexion, (the Ch Show this year has one judge and one ring), there is able room to accommodate the show.

Due to the new date being 12 weeks after the scheduled original date entries will re-open on Have A Dog Day in the next week.

EXISTING ENTRIES  Please confirm by return to Vikki at Have A Dog Day, if you would like to keep the same entry to our new date, Saturday 5th December. Should you wish to change classes due to age or wins this can be made before the new closing date, at this stage Vikki just needs to know if you are wanting to enter the same dogs.

If you are not planning on entering the re-scheduled Open Show please let us know so that the relevant refund can be made.

NEW ENTRIES

Any additional classes with existing entered dogs or new dogs can be entered via Have A Dog Day in the normal way.

If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact Neil Morgan
